Hello! how is everything going on ?

WARNING : I often can't make myself clear because my mind if full of naked junjun picture so please be aware

I have became a fan back in 2007 .. probably around the time when Bambino was aired . I do remember Joining Arashain.com where I learned most of the basic facts about the boys and this fandom . I do want to tell you guys that i was wondering why those people kept  repeating  stuff like " please don't post else where " " don't share outside this forum " . I was thinking " are they showing off ? I mean come on!  " Then i got to learn .. many things which are now , the main lines and rules I do follow and respect .
I was taught by a friend , how we get to watch Japanese TV shows .
First of all , this is illegal . Hence , companies have every right to throw us all in Jail . So , these people put them selves in a high risk just to help us non Japanese fans enjoy our idols " which they don't have to do it is just a favor that they willingly want to do "
The question that many of you may ask .. how do we get to watch Japanese TV shows ?

Well , these people sacrifice  their own free time , set down and record shows on TV , convert it .. then upload it to the internet . This process may take 2-3 hrs I think . This way , these videos go all over the fandom  and revolves all around the world and YES I do think that fans are the most powerful promoting agencies  any talent company " such as Johnny's Jimusho " can ever have and it is even FREE "

Once i learned this fact , I started giving all respect to those people . Because of them , we get to know Arashi , watch stuff that we can't watch in our homelands .. can we ??

But is this enough ? for a foreign fan ? who can't understand anything when it comes to the language ?
Fansubbers , are the people we need . The first fansubber i ever get to know is Yuckie chan and Becky chan and I was amazed " still I am " by the power of these two people ! They spend time translating .. subbing and uploading ... it is not easy . I tell you it is not easy at all

Then the picture has came away clearer to me . I know that people have been writing about it ever since .. and each day there is a community or two shutting down due to people not respecting those people huge efforts ,,
and simply i guess they wont hesitate to put us all in a great .. great .. danger ..

Do you watch Sho Kun's newszero ? They have reported that a 15 years old guy " boy " got arrested because he was uploading a manga on YOUTUBE ..

he is in the jail now .....

do you now know why we often say " DON'T UPLOAD to stream sites ????"

I think it is pretty clear ... even those stupid people who tend to break the rules can now see why we tend to put up rules

we're not showing off .. we are not making it hard for u ,.,, and we are not centric .. as some people have stated in the hate meme

we want to share the love ... and we want to protect ourselves as well
some of you my have noticed that i have locked membership for Sora takaku
I am going to be very strict about accepting new members .... don't ask why
you already know ...
I am fed up with all those who can't have a little sanity to know what is right and what is wrong ...
i am fed up with those who like to steal others' efforts and it is no longer about efforts it is more about saving our asses ......
It has gotten serious ....... please don't break this fandom down ... keep up the love .. and share the love .. and follow the rules ...
And don't ever think that you can hide forever ... we can track u down ...just be aware "

Hands down, I fully agree.

Since I've been in the fandom, this has happened multiple times, and I've watched communities fall due to the few irresponsible individuals that feel they have more rights than we do and decide to spread videos, translations, and everything else onto streaming sites and such. :/

I mean, almost every Arashi community on livejournal has gone over this before, and it just really annoys me that just because of one certain person, the whole fandom has to suffer because of it x.x If you're going to actually take the time to read the rules and fill out some kind of form to join a community, I thought they'd be smart and go and actually follow them.

But, unfortunately, as I'm only a loyal fangirl that cannot do anything else for you awesome fansubbers, I give you my blessings. :)

P.S. Surprised when I saw that NewsZero summary ]: Poor boy D: .. Somehow, I'm glad I'm in America x.x

I'm sorry that people are so stupid, but I greatly appreciate everything you guys do!

Yes I do agree about everything that you said. I always understood how much precious time and effort and risk our dear fansubbers go through. I really really hope other people will be considerate enough to understand that.

I've never heard of the New Zeros New's at all and it scared me. I understand how you guys (fansubbers) feel. Because of my lack of computure knoweledge, I can't watch Japanese TV online. Also all the fansub community is mean a lot to me, because I can't understand japanese at all (just like me). I always feel thank you and respect all of their rule. I know it's hard work, you need a lot of time and efford for doing these things.

So, thank you so much for your hard work, I can stay in touch with these stormy boys because of you. I'll be respect all of your work always, so God bless you.

Thank you so much for the subs, without them I would be absolutely lost. *hugs*

i learned how to watch and get foreign stuff by myself.

i've always read and followed the rules. i knew from the beginning about the illegal actions of everything i've become to partake it.
i realize that "this hobby and pasttime" of mine is a dangerous walk along the line between whats right and wrong

i wish ppl who didnt respect or follow the rules receive what they deserve with their inconsideration.
what sucks is how the ppl who put in effort--fansubbers and uploaders--suffer in the outcome. they dont need more problems for their kindness in helping international fans.

i kind of had the same experince. The friend that brought me into fandom told me NOT to upload the files (we aas giving them to me) and I thought, umm... of course i won't, my interent is already crappy as it is...

And now, with all the recent happenings, I really understand. Many communtites are taking action and I am happy Sora Takaku is, too. We need to protect ourselves, and to do that we can do nothing else but make it harder to accept membership.

If it wasn't for the fansubbers, I probably would not love Arashi as much as I do now, and I probably wouldn't have bothered to join a fansubbing team :D

i totally agree.
i always feel amazed with fansub community and i know its not easy to sub then timing then encode then upload, it takes time but yet member of the community willing to sacrifice their own time for other fans who doesnt understand japanese m(_ _)m so its kind of sad when i saw the vids been upload to streaming site with the warning "DONT UPLOAD TO STREAMING SITE" on the vids itself

Yes i read about the boy who been arrested for uploading manga without copyrite and i hope for those who dont know the effect of uploading in streaming site will aware how serious copyright is...

ive really only been hardcore in the fandom for the last year and a half or so, dling subs of everything and whatnot... and this whole uploading debacle happened with dramacrazy already in the time that ive been dling these things too.

i dont quite understand why anyone feels the need to reupload anything. i mean, obviously they know that is it wrong, bc ive seen on youtube and other streaming sites that people ahve tried to hide the subbing teams logos and everything to try to get away with it.

i dont understand why people dont get the hint already? i mean, isnt it just more work for themselves if they wait an hour for a video to upload to anywhere else? what is the point? do they think theyre cool for breaking the rules? bc then the problem is that the good people who dont break the rules get punished bc subbing teams stop doing all the hard work they did before.

hopefully that kid in japan getting arrested will be a wake up call for people. i do hope that no one i the subbing teams ever get caught though. it would really suck if anything bad happened to any of the real uploaders =[

I really feel your sentiments! I greatly appreciate the efforts and time people like you put through just to share the greatness of Arashi. Fansubbers and uploaders are real blessings to us, international fans, who don't understand and speak japanese. Well, especially people like me who is fully occupied with work yet still can't live without a daily dose of our dear Arashi. So it would be such a loss having one fandom shut just because some foolish person can't respect one simple rule! BIG SH*T isn't it?!

I'm happy your taking actions and I hope nothing worst (like the boy jailed for uploading in Youtube)will ever happen again in the future.

Don't stop sharing arashi love 'cause our boys are worth all the risk!!!

With that I salute you and all subbers & uploader of Arashi fandom! Arigatou =0

I really hope that people stop breaking the rules so we can keep laughing and dreaming about Arashi! I would cry if all the fansubber's communities had to shut down! T_T

It's frustrating how a whole community has to shut down because of a few irresponsible people who aren't able to do a simple thing which is just follow the rules. If they understood that, it would've saved so people a lot of trouble. I appreciate what the fansubbers are doing and I know that you need a great effort to translate and sub a video.

When I first joined this fandom, I had the same exact thoughts as you did. Before I discovered LJ, I used to watch everything (anime, dramas, etc.) on streaming sites, so I couldn't understand what was up with all the "Please do not upload onto streaming sites" warnings. But it's been about 2-3 years since then, and after experiencing some of the hardships of fansubbing myself, I completely understand why fansub groups put those warnings in their releases.

All these streaming problems is pissing me off too, but unfortunately, as long as we have streaming sites, I don't think this problem will ever end. It could be language barriers, or the need to be "popular" on streaming sites...but I just wish the streaming uploaders would realize how stupid and ignorant they're being. They're hurting the whole international fandom. And in the end, they're only hurting themselves and will find themselves getting banned from LJ communities, getting their accounts suspended on the streaming sites, or even getting arrested like the 15-yr-old boy you mentioned.

P.S. I love your layout! :D If you don't mind, could you please tell me what photoshoot/magazine the group pic is from? O.O

Wow! Puff, this is a heavy post.
There are always people who will break rules no matter how many times you tell them or how many different languages you have those rules written out in.

Arashian.com was initially set up back in 2003/04 as a barrier-free forum for Arashians to learn more and to share their love for the fabulous five. Unfortunately much as we like the Forum to be as barrier free as possible, we increasingly find that we can't as we too are concerned about such events happening.

The responsible fans would go and buy the originals, but there just exist in this world, people who don't support the artistes' work, rampantly download and stream files, not meant for such public sharing.

And then again, there are those who simply are too lazy to go search and participate in a Forum, and prefer to have "goodies" delivered to them in the easiest format, like YT, DC, etc.

We can't stop all of them. We can only put in some form of obstacles - which we hope would not deter the true fans.

These, would however, only deter, it will never stop. But at least we are doing something to try and protect what little we have left.

Ganbatte ne! Isshoni!

This is such a complicated, but serious issue. I think that many of these "thieves" who upload others' work to streaming sites, just see the "fun" and "happy" parts of fandom, without comprehending (1)the responsibility they have in protecting the safety of those who work so hard to share the fandom love (2) the time and efforts taken to record and sub vidoes (3) the idea of "ownership".

Puffy, I'm really sorry that these people put the subbing communities at risk, and cause the rest of the rule-abiding fans so much angst as well. I guess all we can do is try to weed them out one by one - whether by reporting them, spamming their Youtube accounts or whatever.

Thank you for all your hard work so far, and generosity in sharing your works. お疲れ様でした!

I totally agree 100% with you.
I've been apart of live journal for about 2-3yrs. Some people think it's okay to upload videos onto a streaming site to "help" people, but did they ever stop to think that they are just too lazy to find things on their own. I found the arashi fandom on my own and im proud I did ^^ although I didn't learn the rules until later from seeing others' actions...but it proved to be stepping stone for me to appreciate just how hard everyone in the subbing comms work. From their angry ;;" rants I found out that a lot of times they don't sleep or would rather go out.

I feel really bad for the boy and it scared the HECK out of me when I found out about it. It gave me a sense of reality in a way :/

I really hope that some people would stop being hard-headed and just follow some simple rules and leave lazy people on their own :/

I agree with you totally. Even in UK & Ireland, the authorities are trying to implement free downloading mp3s, video etc.

It really piss me off to see the streaming of fansubbed video in dramacrazy (especially), mysoju etc

I think the deal with dramacrazy is that they pay the uploader ( or give them some sort of credits), hence, alluring people to upload what are not theirs. Seriously, it is nothing but STEALING!

I really hope all the fansubbers that have been taking care of us, the non-japanese non-nippon speaker, be safe from the authorities/laws.

I'm 100% agree with you.
Wherever i want to join a community, they always ask our promise to follow the rules. At the beginning (maybe 3 years ago)i was wondered why those people make so hard for us to download something, must become member, send agreement, etc.
Then, i knew about the 'danger' and i understand their effort to make Arashi become more and more famous and known in another country, too.
Because of them, i can watch Arashi performance or tv-shows. And, i'm really really love them when they sub it with english.
So, i really don't respect people that already making promise to follow rules and then still upload it in streaming sites.Or maybe... they are so stupid (that's why they can't understand what's the meaning of "promise","follow rules")
Too bad i cannot do anything to help you.
But, i always support all uploaders and subbers, because without you,my world will become boring :D

Now I get what you mean by that manga incident.

Seriously, I am getting scared as well.
I know that sometimes police will also catch or fine people when they download stuff illegally.
I don't know, but police can always catch based on the IP address.

All that fandoms can do now is just take preventive measures.
It will be very important. I don't want to see the fandom collapse.

And, fandom is a place where people share, just like jdramas community, etc. We help one another in aspects that others are lacking in... but there are always people who don't bother to help the fandom, those people spoil everything.

ı don't know if those people, who doesn't fallow the rules are consider themselves as fan, but they are NOT...
cuz a fan should be understanding to others feelings a fan has to be respectful to people who had worked hard for them...
I knew it was illegal in japan to upload videos and they've been deleting youtube videos... but now japan had shown us they are really strict with this... I mean come on 15 years old, it just a child and he is in jail cuz he wanted to share manga love...

I had the same thoughts as you when I first got into this fandom,..
but now,..
it has all changed because I now atleast know that consequences of uploading the illegally subbed videos,..
It's like ripping off the jimusho(no offence)

But because of all the fansubbers we all got to know ARASHI and other JEgroups and came to like them because we atleast know what they are saying through all the trnaslators and subbers that sacrifices their free time to do it other than going out.

Some people just dont understand simple phrase such as "DO NOT"
They dont need to reason out as to why they uploaded them, reasons such as "other people doesnt know how to download" or "subbers need to share what they do to other people."(is that right?"/) well there is this thing called LEARN to do them,..or ask someone to teach them for you...

Anyway, thank you for all your hardwork we all appreciate it! Ganbarre on your future projects!!♥

i'm sorry i'm popping out of nowhere, but i found you from showjuro's page (:!
i totally agree with you on this. I must admit that at first, I too was confused about why people kept asking for us to not upload their videos or subs to other websites. I found it confusing because i thought that the subbers were doing it so that they could share the love. If people were uploading them to other sites, wouldn't that be able to be called sharing?
Then I started seeing that all of the videos related to Arashi were disappearing off of YouTube. Not only were they disappearing, but the uploaders were too. I realized that people actually owned those videos which they were uploading. Why didn't they use disclaimers? I thought that if they did, it would stop, and the videos would stay on. But even disclaimers didn't stop the videos from being deleted. It made me quite sad, and I realized that those people worked so hard for those videos to be made and uploaded, and now they were all gone.
oh well. i hope those subbers are doing well somewhere, especially hanasuberick. i worshiped her. ; n ;
thank you for this post. it was very meaningful ^_^
